Major Kent Hepditch
Corps Officer (Pastor)
Originally from Newfoundland and Labrador, Kent has been a pastor with The Salvation Army since 1993. Previous postings included 14 years in NL, 5 years in Ontario, 4 in Nova Scotia, and 4 in Bermuda, before moving to Red Deer in August 2020. He and his wife Dena have three grown children. In his spare time, Kent likes to watch sports, play golf and walk their Chihuahua Milo.
Major Dena Hepditch
Corps Officer (Pastor)
Like her husband, Kent, Dena is also from Newfoundland and Labrador. Dena has been a pastor with The Salvation Army since 1995, and has served with Kent in NL, Ontario, Nova Scotia and Bermuda. Her hobbies include knitting, crocheting, exploring, hiking and shopping. She also enjoys cooking and baking.
Taylor
Community Ministries Coordinator

Taylor has called Red Deer home for the past 19 years. Her passion and calling have always been to work with the vulnerable and marginalized population. For the past fifteen years, she has worked in the human services field with children, families, and individuals in our community. During the spare time, she and her family enjoy walking their dog, spending time at the lake and going on road trips.

Tari
Business Manager
Tari has been working at The Salvation Army in the Finance/Employee Relations Department since December, 2016. She enjoys working in a place that does so much to help people, and continues to be amazed at the incredible generosity of the citizens of Red Deer who assist us in being able to do the work that we do. Tari and her husband have lived in Red Deer for over 30 years, and have 3 daughters.
Anita
Community Ministries Worker
Recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral studies and has been glad to be using it to serve the Red Deer community through The Salvation Army. She loves spending time with family, friends and her husband. She likes to watch movies and read books. Her favourite indulgences are coffee and chocolate. She also can’t wait to one day have a family and a dog with her amazing husband. She also dreams to one day get a Master’s degree and use it to serve in either a church or university setting.

Cathy
Receptionist and Administrative Assistant

Cathy has lived in Central Alberta since 1998. Prior to joining the Salvation Army Community Ministries team, she worked in post-secondary education and public library settings. She loves being outside enjoying the beauty of the Red Deer trail system. Cathy also likes camping, cooking, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
